%$ing oshawa crack whores...
last summer, matti and i decide that we'd really like to start investing in our future together (i.e. early retirement). the real estate market was good, interest rates low, and so we bought a 3 bedroom condo within walking distance to UOIT and Durham College. we fixed it up (painted, new floors, new appliances, etc.) and rented it to two girls (i use that term very loosely). the complaints started about a week later. first, about noise, then garbage. this transcended into wild parties, booze, drugs, sex, and other "illegal activiities." they were evicted within four months.
it is going to take A LOT to bring the unit back to a non-condemnable state. we are talking dirty thongs, used condom pieces, broken glass, vomit, feces, urine, what appears to be blood, holes in walls, burns on floors, and bags and bags of rotting garbage.
our only recourse? taking the girls to court.
fun...
